‘Every child should be able to go to school. Without hunger. Every young person should be able to try things out and find vocational training. That's not a luxury, it's a human right. Being lucky enough to have been born in Germany gives me many opportunities. I would like to use all of these so that many children can realise their right to education, training, and a future. I kindly ask all my friends to help with this.’

Many little people doing many little things in many little places can change the face of the world. This proverb has accompanied me in my daily life for over 30 years. In our foundation, I realise that we can really put this into practice. It's great to see that each and every one of us can make a difference. During our trip to Tanzania in 2021, I was able to visit the places and people I have known for a long time. I hope we can still achieve a lot together so that many people in their home country have better living conditions.’

‘I want to help give children, teenagers and young adults from Tanzania good educational opportunities and prospects. This is a key to a better future for this country and the young generation that is growing up there. It is very important that the projects are developed by our fantastic local team themselves, because only the people on the ground know what is really needed and how the support can be used sensibly and effectively. Our approach is therefore helping people to help themselves, utilising the impressive potential of the people in Tanzania.’
