Nursing Training: Scholarship Recipients Prove Themselves

A Successful First Year

Our two scholarship recipients, Eyerus and Lidya, at St. Lukas Hospital in Wolisso, Ethiopia, have successfully completed their first year of a two-year nursing training program. We were able to speak with them briefly over the phone.
When asked what their personal goal is after completing their training, they replied:
“We want to serve the community.”

Without the scholarship, they wouldn’t have been able to get an education, which is why they are so grateful. The prospect of a well-learned trade gives them hope that they can contribute and help others.

We would like to thank everyone who supports us with donations.

With the start of the new school year in October, we would like to once again provide two girls from the poor neighborhood with a scholarship to enable them to pursue vocational training. Enabling even more people to do so would be a wonderful goal.
The cost of the nursing school, including boarding with full board, is 1,100 euros per year.
The training program lasts two years.
