Projects

Since 2002, we have supported individual projects in 15 countries. We maintained personal contact with all of them, which allowed us to consistently monitor their long-term impact. In 2021, a scholarship recipient in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania—Alphonce Leonard—founded a small learning center with friends in a poor neighborhood of the city. This has since become our primary focus. The center, called “Youth Crossing Boundaries,” is expanding through a network that reaches into Burundi and the Congo. This is covered on this website.

A second area of focus has emerged in Ethiopia. Here, too, it involves specific individuals: Fr. Endale Haile Fereja, OFMcap, and Fr. Mulugeta Woldemeskel Kirato. They work in Vienna and support these projects in their home country.

Thanks to our many international contacts, we regularly receive requests for assistance. We review these requests and—depending on the amount of donations received—we provide support for children’s education.
