An Elite School for the Poor

Our First Major Project

The Ritaliza School is located in Holili/Himo, Tanzania, at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. The school is led by Sr. Betty Schao, who studied and worked in Germany for several years. Sr. Betty has been friends with Father Martin for over 30 years.

The school complex was founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph, whose headquarters are in Mombasa, Kenya. A quarter of the children who attend this school are orphans. It is now considered one of the best schools in the country.

Following the expansion of the primary and secondary schools, which have a combined enrollment of 560 students, a boarding school for approximately 300 children is scheduled to be added in the coming years.

Our Contribution

Since our early days, we have supported Sr. Betty and the school in many ways.
