In many African countries, the period after secondary school is a major problem, because any kind of education costs money. Money that isn’t there. 

To help young people who cannot afford the tuition, we launched a “Vocational Training” program at our center in Dar es Salaam in March 2025.

We offer nine-month courses in computer training, tailoring, English, “life skills,” and entrepreneurship (to help participants start their own small shops). The first report card distribution took place in November 2025.

Thanks to several donors, we were able to equip two new classrooms with computers and sewing machines for the training program. The students have already designed their own clothes and sewn them themselves. The result is quite impressive.
